This morning as we were driving to school, my first grader was telling me a story. He said did I know that when you put a chili dog outside, it becomes a hot dog, because it's hot outside? He thought that they were called chilly dogs.

Observation #149

Motherhood is folding laundry uninterrupted for long stretches of time, what feels like hours in fact, then stepping into the shower for a five minute rinse and hearing chaos, torment, and destruction from your previously quiet children.

Morning Musings

My older son is doing the letter ص in Arabic class, so my younger one is playing along and decides he wants to do "حرف الصابون", too.

"زاكي, حطيت دهن على شعرك!؟"  "Yeah Mama, I wanted it to be beautiful..."
