Almost There!

We're in the homestretch of getting the cast off. The first two weeks weren't too bad, as it was an adjustment period. We were still figuring things out. The second two weeks were awful. My son was beginning to lose weight, and the diapers were not fitting well. He was constantly leaking, no matter what I'd do. It was incredibly difficult and frustrating, trying to figure out what would and would not work. I was constantly trying to keep him clean and dry with wash cloths and trying different diapers.  By week four, I figured out a new way to change his diaper. I would flip him on his stomach, tuck the diaper in from the back, flip him back over, bring the diaper through, and attach the stickers on. This method has been working great, thank God. So the cast is supposed to come off Monday, God willing. I pray for all those going through something similar, and while it hasn't been an easy journey, I hope that it has made us all stronger.
