Where are YOU From

I recently joined a gym, I've been needing to for awhile now, my old old shut down a few months ago. As I've been attending classes, I noticed one older lady was in several of the classes with me. The other day I asked her if she was sore after yoga, as I was pretty sore, considering it was my first yoga class.  She told me she was fine.  After Zumba, she asked me where I was from. I told her I was originally Iraqi. She said that she thought I was Middle Eastern, because I looked exotic, even though I was so light skinned. She was saying that she was also of Middle Eastern descent. I had thought as much, but wasn't sure. So I asked her where she was from originally. She stared at my blankly and said, "Washington, DC."

(After further questioning she told me she was of Syrian and Jordanian descent.)
